Just had my first day of classes at OSU. It was OK, but I have this feeling that the days ahead are not going to be so easy as they were in IIT-M. Keeping my fingers crossed for the future...

At My University... Finally!!

Yes, the holiday is over and I guess its back to the books for me soon. I am in Columbus, Ohio now and classes start in less than two weeks. Before then I need to learn things that I was supposed to have learnt in my under-grad days! Well, let's see how that goes...

The past three weeks have been really good, me spending time with my sister for such a long time after about two years and all that senti stuff... I did see some places during the time, but mostly I did what I think I am really good at - laze around, watch TV, you know, generally having a good time. One should see the way these people watch their carbs, calories, fat content et al. I mean you have a "fat-free this", a "low-fat that" or a "low-carb the-other" everywhere you see. Very different from India where we used to eat anything and everything...

Another thing is the way one is "pampered" - to quote a friend of mine - and the thing is that you get used to them so quickly. Nice comfortable place to be, and air-conditioning is somewhat of a necessity here... well, just some of the things which just hit me as different. One more thing is the kind of shops one sees here. Really big and you have so much variety... hmmm... I think I can go on and on about these small things which are no big deal as such... but who's interested in this - not even me... so I'll stop for now...
